SwanShaman

Swanshaman (*Shaman – Manchu-Tungus word that has no gender which can refer to both male or female though in some tribes there is a different term for female shaman)

I was invited to paint this piece inspired by a story written by Sarangelrel – a Buryat Shaman who spoke of Swan mother who gave birth to three children and one of them started shaman clan.

Hongoodor tribe of eastern Sayan also honour the swans.

Within the process of birthing this piece, I received many vivid and few lucid dreams of deep memories as a shaman of Sayan mountians.

Art is really a mirror and window to the soul and its multidimensional aspect. I invite you to be open and allow your own experience and narratives to occur.
